Harleston Magpies parkrun
The Road Runners had a parkrun meet up on Saturday 19th April this time at Harleston. It was great to see so many runners representing us in Diss vests! Thanks to the Harleston core team and volunteers for making everyone feel so welcome! It's a great local parkrun and if you haven't given it a go yet try and get there soon!
Don't forget our next parkrun meet up is at Lowestoft on the 24th May and we also have a social run in Pulham on Thursday May 15th. Check our Strava page for details.
Diss and District AC Annual Awards Evening 2025
An amazing evening to celebrate all the wonderful Diss AC athletes was held on Saturday March 15th. A fantastic evening was had by all and we were lucky to have one of our own athletes Axl Redwine providing the entertainment during the evening. Diss are such a talented bunch!!
Awards were voted for by club members and awarded to these amazing athletes:
Male Club Road Runner of the year: Lance Escobar
Female Roadrunner of the Year: Emma Ward
Male Cross Country: Tom Butler
Female Cross Country: Charlie Calladine
Best Newcomer: Rhiannon Johnson
Most Improved: Tanita Russell
Nottingham Shield Star of the Year: Charlie Calladine
There was a new award this year awarded by our wonderful Chairman Ben Churchman to the person who has shown a huge commitment to the club and gone above and beyond! This was awarded to: Danielle Whatling.
Ben was also on the receiving end of his own award this year as club members wanted to recognise his dedication and commitment to the club, ensuring its' future and making it the best club around! Thanks Ben, we all think you're the best!

Diss AC Road Runners Awards Evening 2024
The Road Runners held their annual awards evening at the Old Ram Inn in Tivetshall on the 20th January.
A fantastic evening was had by all and it was wonderful to be able to celebrate the amazing achievements and hard work of club members.
Awards were presented to:
Sarah Hanlon: Female Cross Country
Jamie Collier: Male Cross Country
Kim Smith: Best Newcomer
Emma Meadows: Most Improved
Emma Ward: Female Road Runner
Peter Clarke: Male Road Runner
There was also the presentation of some Diss AC Track and Athletic Awards that were won by some of amazing Road Runners:
Janice Nottingham: Diss AC Senior Ladies Track Shield
Peter Clarke: Diss AC Overall Star of the Year
Emma Meadows: Third Place Diss Overall Star of the Year
