Bungay Festival of Running 10k
Four members of Diss Roadrunners took part in the Bungay 10K on Sunday April 14th. It was a beautiful day for a run, a little windy at times but the sun came out and stayed out for the whole of the race. It's a really good event and a lovely course, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the morning!

Framlingham Cross Country - The final muddy chapter!
Sunday March the 3rd saw three brave Diss AC Roadrunners complete the final XC of the season. They were rewarded with plenty of mud and a great sense of achievement!
Well done all, great running!!
Diss AC finished in 16th position overall out of 20 clubs. An amazing achievement for a small club like ours! Well done all!

Cambridge Half Marathon
Well done to Roadrunner Tanita Russell on completing the Cambridge Half in a time of 02:10:20. Fantastic running!
Diss AC Athlete wins Silver at Indoor British Championships!
Massive congratulations to Janice Nottingham on her outstanding performance today (18.02.24) securing her a silver medal in an extremely tough field in the 400m. This comes a week after her success at the East of England Championships where she also secured silver medals in the 60m, 200m and 400m!
Well done Janice, we at Diss AC are all very proud of you and looking forward to seeing what else you can achieve!

Suffolk Winter League Cross Country Round 3
Sunday January 21st saw three of our intrepid Road Runners braving the course at Haverhill. The expected 'water feature' was absent as it had become a skating rink due to the freezing temperatures we have recently experienced! It was all the more impressive as two of runners had attended the Awards Evening the night before! Well done everyone, great running!

Peddars Way Ultra Marathon January 20th 2024
Lance Escobar and Phil Rusted completed the Peddars Way Ultra Marathon, running 51 miles from the Suffolk border to the North Norfolk Coast. An incredible effort guys finishing in superb times! Even managing to join the Club Awards Evening in time for a well deserved beer! Awesome!

Suffolk Winter League Cross Country Race 2
The second race of the Cross Country season took place on Sunday 14th of January at Haughley Park and eight of our Road Runners were out braving the cold to represent Diss AC. A fantastic multi terrain course with everything you could want from a cross country race! A two lap course over 5 miles through woodland, over fields, up and down hills, through mud and puddles and even a few logs to hurdle over! Colchester Stampede Half Marathon - 9 September 2018

Race to the Stones - 14 & 15 July 2018
Congratulations to Road Runner, Sarah Watts, who completed this gruelling 100km trail race! The endurance event, which takes place over two days, involves running from the Chilterns (between Oxford and Reading) and finishing at Stonehenge. Well done Sarah!
Lord Mayor's 5k Norwich - 7 July 2018
Well done to Road Runner, Ben Churchman, who took on the iconic Lord Mayor's 5k - hosted by City of Norwich Athletic Club. You have to complete the first half of the distance in under 10 minutes! Ben crossed the finish line in 18.34.

North Devon Half Marathon - 24 June 2018
Well done to Road Runner, Andy Callen, who took on his sixth half marathon of the year(!) in Woolacoombe, Devon. The challenging off-road course involved running along cliffs, over sand dunes and across the beach! He finished in a time of 1.54.53.

Kenya Muskathlon - 14 June 2018
Congratulations to Road Runner, Becky Kingsland, who completed her first ever marathon... in Kenya! Becky battled through 40c heat to cross the finish line and raised hundreds of pounds to help children living in poverty. Well done!

Road Runners, Andy Callen and Steph Callen, took part in the Lee Valley series of races which involves running circuits of the park's road cycle track until you've clocked-up your desired distance. QuadKids (Match 1) - 22 April 2018
Congratulations to athlete Malachi Komolafe who took home a gold medal at the first match of the Norfolk QuadKids competition. He was the top ranking Year 4 & 5 boy after winning three of his four events! He scored 11.1 secs in the 75m, 2.20 in the 600m, 1.96m in the standing long jump and 34.8m in the vortex howler. Well done!

Bunny Run Thetford 5k - 1 April 2018
This is no April Fools! After running 5k across sand dunes the day before, Road Runner Glenn Bate completed another 5k course, this time in 29.13!
Nelson Knee-Knobbler (Race 1) - 31 March 2018
Well done to Road Runner, Glenn Bate, who completed the first Knee-Knobbler race of the year, running 5k along the dunes at Caister-on-Sea in a time of 40.06.
Athletics Norfolk Awards 2018
Congratulations to our very own Luella Brookes who was awarded best Under 13 Field athlete at the Athletics Norfolk Awards, held on 24 March.

At the end of the series, Diss & District AC ended up being ranked 15th out of 18 teams, and the Men's team was also ranked 15th while the Women's team was 13th. Andy Callen came overall 19th in the Senior Men's competition, Steph Callen, Charlie Calladine and Becky Kingsland came 9th, 10th and 12th respectively in the Senior Women's competition, and Fi Hawkins came 9th in the Women's 45+ competition.
East Regional Sportshall Champs - 24 March 2018
Huge congratulations to our four athletes who took represented Norfolk in the East Regional Championships.
For the U11 boys, Malachi Komolafe
threw 12m in the javelin and jumped 2.01m in the standing long jump - a PB! Meanwhile, Maximilion Brookes
came third in the balance test. Both boys also competed in relay competitions.
For the U13 boys, Riley Kemp
jumped 2.31m in the standing long jump (third in the East) and 53.6 secs in the four-lap race which placed him second in the East!
For the U13 girls, Luella Brookes
came first in the East with a throw of 9.69m in the the shotputt - a PB!
Both Riley and Luella will now progress to the UK finals in Manchester next month. Good luck!

Stanley Marathon - 18 March 2018
He may be on deployment in the Falkland Islands, but that didn't stop Road Runner Ben Churchman from representing Diss & District AC in the Stanley Marathon. Ben was part of a team of four who completed the 26.2 mile distance as a relay - and they came second!
Ryston Open XC Grand Prix series - 18 March 2018
Huge congratulations to Eva Barton who was crowned overall Grand Prix Champion in her age group following the final race of the XC Grand Prix series. Not only did she win the final race, but she won every leg she took part throughout the season!
Grindleford Gallop - 17 March 2018
Road Runner, Ben Dean, took on the infamous 21 mile challenge incorporating plenty of muddy and wet pathways, tracks and open moorland across the south of the Peak District, finishing in a time of 3.41.29.

Gransden Muddy Fun Run - 28 January 2018
Road Runners, Andy and Steph Callen, took on the half marathon and 10k distances (respectively) of this challenging race which mixed a combination of road, open countryside, hills and mud up to your ankles! Andy came 8th in the half marathon, while Steph took home the trophy for being the first Senior Female to cross the finish line in the 10k.

Diss & District AC hit "The Strip" as Road Runners, Andy Callen and Steph Callen, took on the Las Vegas Marathon and Half Marathon respectively. The pair finished their races, which saw them running through the famous US city at night, in times of 3.58.34 and 2.32.33.

Road Runner, Ben Churchman, took on the infamous five-mile Lowestoft Scores Race, hosted by Waveney Valley Athletic Club, finishing in a time of 30.32. The race involves running up and down 13 stepped hills!

Road Runners, Andy Callen and Steph Callen, completed the marathon and half marathon races respectively in times of 3.47.44 (PB) and 2.15.38.
Suffolk County Track & Field Champs - 14 May 2017
Congratulations to Riley Kemp who took home two medals at the Championships which took place at Northgate Stadium in Ipswich. Riley secured a bronze medal in the U13B 75m hurdles race with a time of 14.9 secs but went one better in the U13B long jump and bagged a silver with a jump of 4.27m. Riley also came fourth in the U13B 100m final with a time of 13.9 secs. Well done!
Woodbridge 10k Road Race - 14 May 2017
Road Runners, Andy Callen and Ben Dean, completed the 10k race - hosted by Woodbridge Shufflers Running Club - in times of 43.08 (PB) and 45.41 respectively.
Norfolk County Track & Field Champs - 13 May 2017
Well done to our three Track & Field athletes who performed fantastically at this year's Championships, held at UEA Sportspark in Norwich.
- Congratulations to Luella Brookes who picked up a bronze medal in U13G discus with a throw of 15.77m and a silver in U13G shot putt with a throw of 7.02m.

who made the final of the U15G 100m with a time of 14.6 secs.
- And congratulations to Alicia Bentin who came third in the U17W 100m with a time of 14.6 secs.
MK Half Marathon - 1 May 2017
It was a busy Bank Holiday weekend for Road Runner, Sarah Watts, who finished the MK Half Marathon in 2.54.27, but not before completing the MK Rocket 5k the day before in a time of 35.43. Well done!
Saxmundham Rotary Marathon & Half Marathon - 30 April 2017
